Two main things that differentiate one mortgage from the next is the Mortgage Type (Opened or Closed) and the type of Mortgage rate (Fixed or Variable). You do have a choice over these. The other key difference in your mortgages, is whether or not it’s Insured, Insurable or Uninsurable, and that will make a big impact on your mortgage plan and costs.
